Following feedback from Customers, Flightweight’s operational management database Cumulus, continues to develop and improve its reporting and management information functionality. Based on a Microsoft SQL database the reporting capabilities from Cumulus are almost endless, with any number of bespoke reports and activity alerts being created to meet individual customer requirements.
WE’RE EXHIBITING AT HAMBURG
It’s April, which for the aviation industry can only mean one thing – everybody is dusting off their German phrase books and readying themselves for the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg.
The Flightweight team is exhibiting our EASA approved SmartCart single, duo and data models along with the rest of our range at stand 1C50 of the event which takes place between the 10th and 12th April 2018.
FLIGHTWEIGHT COMPLETE IN-FLIGHT TRIALS
Flightweight are delighted at the results of their first in-flight operational trials with a major international airline. Following the trials, Customer Services Director, John Brogan commented, ” We are hugely encouraged by the positive feedback which we received from both the cabin crew and ground staff and we fully believe that it won’t be long before we see our revolutionary galley cart with electronic seal in regular service with a large number of airlines.
FULL ALL AIRCRAFT ACCREDITATION FOR SMARTCART
Flightweight are delighted to boast that they now have received from EASA full accreditation for all aircraft types for their SmartCart single and SmartCart double galley carts which are fitted with the world’s first and only accredited AirGuard 2 Electronic Security Seal. Mr Larry Williams, Managing Director for Flightweight stated “we are absolutely delighted at this accreditation as it is imperative, particularly in todays troubled climate, that we continue to find ways to improve the security of goods boarding an aircraft.

WE CAN HELP! – REPORT: 1 IN 4 AIRLINE CATERERS SAY FOOD CARTS VULNERABLE
Nearly one in four airline catering workers — 24% — say unauthorized people could get into their kitchens and trucks, and the same percentage warned that someone could place contraband on a food cart, according to a survey obtained by USA TODAY.
Unite Here, a union representing 12,000 airline catering workers nationwide, surveyed 400 of its members and provided an 18-page report to the Transportation Security Administration on Monday.

Flightweight are delighted to announce the opening of their new office in Wrexham The office suite is located within the upper floor of our manufacturing partner ACT in the Wrexham Industrial Estate.
